Whimbyte is a small, independent page about free wolf games on Google Play. It is written and maintained by one person — not a studio, not a team of testers, and not affiliated with Google Play or any of the developers whose games are reviewed here.
The catalogue is deliberately small: seven games, split into a survival-sim hub and a puzzle hub. Every review reflects actual hands-on time with the game in question, not a rewrite of its store listing. Where a screenshot or a feature is described, it is because we saw it ourselves during play.
How games are scored
Each game gets a Whimbyte score out of 5, shown alongside its public Google Play rating when one exists. The two are kept visually separate on every page because they measure different things: the Play rating is a crowd average, ours is one editor's judgement against a consistent set of questions — does the core loop hold up past the first ten minutes, does the game explain its own systems, does it run smoothly on a mid-range phone, and does it feel honestly represented by its own store listing.
Session length and entry-barrier labels on every review are estimates from our own play sessions, not figures published by any developer. Pros and cons are written to be genuinely different per game — if a game has no real weaknesses we could find, we say so, but that has not happened yet across this catalogue.
What this page does not do
There is no comment section, no user sign-up and no search box on this site — the catalogue is small enough that the genre hubs and the sitemap cover navigation on their own. There is also no advertising on any page and no subscription of any kind; the site is run as a personal, ad-free project.
This page does not cover pricing, in-app purchases or monetisation of the games it reviews — that is a deliberate choice, not an oversight, and it keeps the reviews focused on what it actually feels like to play each game.
